At YODA Plastic Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery Department, all modern methods – invasive and non-invasive – of facial and body aesthetic plastic surgery are performed.
Invasive
Liposuction
Liposuction is the most common procedure of Plastic Surgery, especially in Mediterranean countries, where fat in hips for women and side fat for men is a very common phenomenon. It is the best and most effective method for treating and reconstructing local body deformities. It is a small-scaled cosmetic procedure, which permanently removes the local fat that may have been accumulated in certain places or areas. It is usually done with local anaesthesia (or in combination with conscious sedation) and the patient returns to their activities the next day, wearing a special corset.
Lipofilling
Lipofilling is the transfer of the fat removed by a small liposuction (usually from the belly or hips) after appropriate processing to another area, which has being “emptied” over time. It occurs mainly in areas such as the upper and / or lower eyelid, the lips, glabella, the hands surface, etc. Lipotransfer is an increasingly popular operation worldwide with multiple applications in both Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. Lipotransfer is actually a fat autotransplantation, superior to the various available fillers in the market, since it is our own (autologous) tissue, which, in addition to transferred fat cells, also contains fat stem cells, which improve both the quality and the skin elasticity of the area where they are placed.
Liposculpture
The adipose tissue consists of adipocytes, which act as energy storage units for the body. The distribution of adipocytes is not always uniform in the body. There are areas such as chin, abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs and knees where there is a particular tendency for adipose tissue concentration. Liposuction, also known as liposculpture, removes local deposits of fatty tissue with the use of a special cannula and the application of negative pressure. It’s not a slimming method, nor a method for treating cellulite.
Liposuction is performed with operation, with local anaesthesia combined with conscious sedation and the end result is usually visible 3 months after surgery. The aesthetic effect of this surgery is considered satisfactory when it is characterized by symmetry and harmony with the rest of the body.
Blepharoplasty
The area of the eyelids is one of the most important aesthetic units of the face. With the passage of time, the eyelid skin relaxes, the muscles and the cortical diaphragm are weakened, resulting in the appearance of fat, wrinkles and “bags” on the eyelids. These changes give people a “tired” look. Blepharoplasty is a surgical operation that aims to eliminate or improve the above issues by removing fat combined with skin and muscle from the eyelids.
Blepharoplasty is performed with local anaesthesia, assisted by conscious sedation.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty is a specialized surgery that improves the shape and/or size of the ear in order to achieve harmony with the face. Also, otoplasty improves post-traumatic and congenital malformations.
Prominent ears (the most frequent abnormality of the auricles) are due to the full or partial agenesis of the antihelix, with or without conchal hypertrophy. The plastic surgeon is called to correct these anatomical elements in order to achieve a symmetrical result.
The procedure is performed with local anaesthesia or conscious sedation. The aesthetic result of otoplasty is considered satisfactory when the shape of the ears follows the aesthetic proportions of the face.
Non-Invasive
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a natural hydrophilic component of the skin. In plastic surgery it is usually a product of biotechnology (a product of non-animal origin), which in practice means that there is no risk of disease transmission or allergic reaction to the material. Hyaluronic acid slows the diffusion of water from the dermis to the epidermis, increases the skin’s resistance to harmful external factors and enhances its healing and regenerative capacity.
The injection of hyaluronic acid improves:
- Nasolabian folds
- Wrinkles between eyebrows
- Mouth wrinkles
- Lips and lip line
- Scars and volume loss
- Cheekbones
Very often, it complements the general effect of a facelift and can be combined with other facial rejuvenation treatments such as anti aging laser and rejuvenation mesotherapies.
Stretch Lift
Stretch Lift is performed with COG – PDO threads. COG – PDO threads are vascular threads, fully absorbable in about 6 to 9 months. A thin needle is used to create an inner net in the skin, providing support to its tissues. At the same time, collagen production is stimulated along the direction of the thread, resulting in stretching the relaxed tissue. The skin is also being rejuvenated through the process of skin healing, neovascularization and the increase of elastin.
PRP Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a modern treatment method utilizing the infusion of certain medicinal substances both endodermically and hypodermically. Endodermically, its action lies in antioxidative skin protection and bio-stimulation, i.e. the stimulation of fibroblasts to produce collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin. Depending on the needs of each skin, the following ingredients are used:

- enzymes
- Amino acids
It is a modern treatment for face and body anti-aging and rejuvenation. There are several treatment protocols for firming, deep hydration and elimination of fine facial wrinkles as well as therapeutic protocols for cellulite and body firming.
Reconstructive Plastic Surgery
Beyond aesthetics, Plastic Surgery deals with skin and soft tissue oncology, acute-phase burns, as well as with the correction of post-burn scars, injuries, and with scar and deformity reconstruction.
Thus, anyone can come to the YODA Unit and have any skin damage (moles, non-closing sores, skin tumours, etc.) examined. If the qualified Plastic Surgeon considers it necessary, the damage will be removed and sent for biopsy.
Scars can also be evaluated and assessed after operations, injuries or burns, which can be improved or eliminated by invasive or non-invasive methods.

HIFU BODY MEDICAL THERAPY
NON-INVASIVE BODY LIPOSCULPTURE, WITH IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT RESULTS.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology is the only aesthetic medicine technology that has been approved by the USA Food and Drug Administration FDA both for face and body applications. During one and single application, HIFU BODY MEDICAL THERAPY can achieve a triple effect at body sculpture and contouring.
Through this treatment, we can sculpt and reconstruct areas such as:
• inner and outer surface of the knees,
• anterior and posterior thigh,
• pelvis (hip fat)
• thighs and hips,
• front and side abdomen (love handles),
• legs,
• arms,
• back and
• other body parts where there is accumulation of local fat that may vary from patient to patient.
HIFU BODY allows us, focusing on a depth of 7mm and 13mm, to intervene in the fatty tissue and achieve:

With the passage of time, usually between 8 and 12 weeks, the cells of the damaged fat are reduced and, thanks to the natural regeneration of the body, body contouring is achieved, that is, a uniform re-formation. It is performed by taking a transplant from the back of the scalp and implanting each hair separately at the areas with hair loss in such a way that it looks like it was born there.
Hair transplant is performed with local anaesthesia or/and light conscious sedation, depending on the case. Immediately afterwards, a special medical laser of advanced technology is used for the quickest nourishment of the surgical wound, as well as for the rooting and strengthening of both the newly implanted and the existing hair follicles. All the above contribute to a beautiful and natural result, which is visible in a period between three and six months.
Eyebrow transplant
Eyebrow transplant is performed both in women and men who have lost part of their eyebrows, either due to genetic causes or due to a skin condition. As with hair transplant, the donor area is the back of the scalp. Once the follicular units have been isolated, they are implanted in the carefully designed area of the eyebrows.
Because of the short length of the hair, the aesthetic effect becomes visible in a period between two and three months (less than that of hair transplant), when all hair follicles have grown. The operation is performed with local anaesthesia at the clinic.
